Helen Rundell is one of America's finest nature artists and a printmaker of premier rank. Her meticulously observed and exquisitely rendered lithographs and etchings depict the quiet corners of America. Rundell's images echo in their remarkable detail the artist's feelings about discovering the tranquil and timeless beauty of nature and the simple objects of everyday life. The lithographs were printed at the esteemed New York atelier of George C. Miller and Sons and the etchings are individually hand colored by the artist.
A native of eastern Long Island, now living in Maine, Helen grew up exploring the outdoors as the only daughter of Latvian parents. She was drawing by the age of two and painting at five. Today her work is widely represented in major public and corporate collections including the Smithsonian and the Library of Congress.
