The National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. hosted a major exhibition of Joan Miró's art (May 6 to August 12, 2012). Organized by the Tate Modern, the exhibition began at the Tate in London in April, 2011, and traveled to Barcelona before opening here. It celebrated Miró as one of the greatest modern artists.
Miró was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1893. His prodigious output included paintings, drawings, tapestries and stage designs. Also a renowned printmaker he published his first prints in 1928 when he was 35. He created his own visual language that reflected his vision and energy. These iconic images represent a simplicity and humanity that are universally recognized and appreciated.
As to his etchings and lithographs, condition and authenticity are of paramount concern.
We are pleased to offer a selection of 10 exquisite Miró original prints each in beautiful condition and each signed in pencil by Joan Miró.
At auctions and galleries worldwide, his work continues to appreciate in value.
